Mario’s Spiritual Readings were a direct result of his clairvoyant awakening. In the early days of this experience, he was almost overwhelmed by the experience of seeing colours emanating from every object around him. The most complex arrangement of colours came from people and with the colours came a continual flood of information - most of which he didn't want! Eventually (because of his extensive spiritual training) he discovered how to control the new gifts of vision, and over a period of some years he developed the "Spiritual Reading". Mario described the Reading as a "conversation with the soul". Through the Reading he was able to describe the personality, psychology, gifts and talents of the individual - and also to give that person insight into previous incarnations which directly affected this one.

The Readings also served to stimulate and exercise Mario's clairvoyant gifts, and to deepen his perception of the worlds of spirit. Much of the universe he explored is described in his book, "The New Clairvoyance".
